What was the highlight of Marwa Palace Hotel Cairo
Great choice for sightseeing
The hotel is very nice and very well located, with easy access to all the famous tourist attractions by taxi. Relatively quiet and nice neighbourhood. The rooms are clean, spacious, nice and comfortable. The breakfast is very tasty, there is a large selection and everything is fresh, they make fresh eggs of your choice and pancakes too. The reception is helpful and friendly.
What we really didn't like was the SPA section: my friend and I wanted to go for a massage (two women), which is promoted everywhere in the hotel. We went for the appointment after booking and paying in advance, there was a long wait, there were about 20 men in and out of the waiting room, then we were taken into a corridor, also full of men, and they wanted us to undress in horrible little depressing cabins, but even then we didn't see the masseur, while 20 men were walking up and down in front of the semitransparent-glass-door. There was no intimacy, it was very uncomfortable for us, we asked for our money back and gave up on the spa experience.

Decent to stay
The property is pretty decent to stay, The supermarket in front of hotel is a plus
The house keeping, lack of staff during heavy hours or at night. We have to call several times the receptionist area for some issues in the room only to be waiting for none. The house keeping could be improved Better choices for breakfast, though the staff in breakfast hall are all accomodating and friendly. Reception people should be more efficient and can speak english specially for non egyptian customers. I booked a superior double room, but i got a double standard room at first. Good they change last minute when we asked again for the room we paid.

What was the highlight of Marwa Palace Hotel Cairo
An overall good hotel that I would be happy to book again.
I liked this hotel, I am satisfied I chose this hotel. I liked the 17th floor restaurant which had large windows all around enabling daylight to pour in and good views of the skyline. The breakfast spread was good. My room was comfortable and mostly importantly the bed linen was clean and white and ironed. The Bathroom was ok although the water drainage in the shower basin was not good and the sink's drain cover was missing thus allowing a build up of items that might eventually cause a blockage. The roof top pool water was clean but the shallow side was 1.8m deep. Overall this is a good hotel and I would book again.
Area of improvement: could do with paying more attention to the check-out process for completeness of returning all customer documents; and on the second day they had not done housekeeping on my room, so I had to ask for water replacement and tea-sugar facilities. My room was in the lower floors where it did not have access to sunshine or adequate daylight.

Wonderful
The hotel is in very nice location, close to the Cairo University and zoo. The staff is helpful. The rooms are well equipped with good air conditioning and comfortable beds, minibar, and are big enough. The breakfasts are with local food. There is small swimming pool in the hotel. The internet connection speed is acceptable.
The bathroom was not well cleaned. The breakfasts were good, but there was lack of fresh fruits, and the hotel serves filter coffee.
